New Header Back Exhaust
Hey everyone,
Just got done installing my hew exhaust. I got a header-back package from FT86speedfactory.com. I got their Daily Rage W/Perrin package. It's awesome, and sounds amazing. Here's a quick sound clip, Sorry it's just a video from my S7 phone: I really didn't take many pics during the install as I was focused on getting it done. I was renting a bay with a lift and being charged by the hour. The previous owner had installed custom piping that was all welded as one piece, so I had to cut that all off. After the 1st cut I thought, "Well, there's no turning back now!" haha. Overall, then entire install with cleaning up afterwards took about 4 hours. My only issue is that my left exhaust tip is sticking out a lot further than my right one. But after reading a few threads here about the Perrin catback, I'll have to try loosening everything and twisting the S-pipe to get it aligned. I also may have tightened the V-clamps down too much, I'm lucky I didn't break them. It's not affecting anything, just cosmetic, so I'm not too worried about it right now. I drive almost 50 miles each way to work, and it's been great. The whole system really isn't overly loud, but you can definitely hear the Subie rumble, and it screams when you get on it. I love it! I've been considering getting that package for some time now although without the front-pipe. I'm glad to see you enjoy it. May be about time for me to take the plunge.
