Question about FFS
first, yes, ive search and read and i could not find the answer i am looking for.
When is comes to FFS, I have never done it and i want to try it out so my question is. If i set the FFS to 7000 rpm, and when i am revving that high, will the tachometer stay at 7000rpm til i FFS or does the tachometer keep going until i decide to FFS? or do i just FFS when it reaches 7000rpm? basically i want to know if i have to FFS manually or if the car will tell me by keeping the tachometer at 7000rpm. |

If you set ffs at 7000rpm, it will go past that til it hits the rev limiter or you shift. Say if the ffs is set at 7000 and you shift at 7400, while shifting the motor will drop to 7000 between shifts, there by keeping the motor in its power band.

I have question peeps! okay, so i set the FFS at 6000rpm. am i supposed to ffs exactly at 6000rpm or can i ffs at any rpm after 6000rpm? because when i ffs at 6000rpm, i hear like a double pop sound and i dont know what that means but i dont hear the double pop sound when i ffs at any rpm after 6000.

Quote:
If you set FFS to 6000 this will be 7600-FFS Delta 1600)=6000). if you FFS under 6000 say at 5000 then the rpm will increase to 6000 where its limited during shift (till clutch is released). If you shift over 6000 then rpm will drop back to 6000. note the oft FFS code does not check the throttle position at all, all it checks is clutch switch. clutch not depressed rpm limit is normal redline Clutch depressed then FFS limit is active the different sounds will be the engine reving up to the FFS limit then being limited , or the engine falling back to FFS limit. The oft implementation does not retard timing to FFS limit , im pretty sure it just fuel cuts . |
