Paint "stress cracks"(?) and poor touchup from previous owner
I purchased my car used last August. While the interior was flawless the exterior has a handful of spots that are pretty sad looking.
I'm not yet convinced it would be worth it to repair these spots (there are a few more than pictured) instead of simply replacing the bumpers entirely. I'm aware that 37J is a tricky paint to match properly so the question becomes "risk it on fixing the existing, some spots might not match so well" or "the whole bumper might not match so well". Cost is also a factor - I've checked ebay for 37J bumpers and it's slim pickins. Luckily it's just the bumpers and there is minimal if any damage on hood, trunk, fenders, and doors. Tiny scratches and piss-poor touchup job: ![]() ![]() Spider-crack looking spots: ![]() There is also a spot on the rear bumper where it is actually protruding... I have no idea how that might have happened but there it is (left spot with shitty touchup)

Had the same crazing on my old bumper after I hit a deer.
No I don't think there's any viable fixes except buying a new painted bumper skin or getting a replacement off a doner car. Looks like they used white-out on those touch ups! |

I could never walk up to my car everyday and ignore that. Bite the bullet.
(Not suggesting suicide). |

Yup it's pretty annoying to see personally. Most people don't seem to notice at all though. If anything the tiny white spots are much more noticeable than the large portions of spider cracks (which are absolutely dramatized by the camera angle and lighting).

Cracking is from flexing. Only fix is to have the thing fixed and repainted or replaced.
Better off trying to find a totaled one with a front bumper in tact or someone whos selling theres after replacing with a body kit. |

It was in stop & go traffic. He didn't appreciate me taking the space between him and the car in front of him. I called in his license plate after he refused to stop but by the end of the day I was over it.
