E85 Innovate Supercharged 2013 SWP BRZ Limited 44k mi - Louisville, KY

Before you read the ad - this is a direct copy paste from Craigslist so I will belabor some things that you guys already know. I'm looking for $19,500 OBO as a full package, but don't have much room below that before parting it out makes more sense. I'll return the stereo to stock for ~500 off.

Since I can't caption photos, the up close ones show the only blemishes on the car (spots on the front bumper, tiny scrape on rear bumper, curbed rear wheel.)

Up for sale is my supercharged 2013 BRZ Limited. This car is my pride and joy, and honestly I don't know why I'm selling it. Well, I do, because I wanted something more ridiculous and that fell into my lap. At this point having two fast cars and nothing actually practical just doesn't make a ton of sense.

This car is priced pretty high because it has a lot of aftermarket stuff done to it, both performance and stereo wise that I spent a lot of time and love on. I would rather pass it on whole and will take a pretty fat loss at this price, but I think the car is exactly what I wanted out of it (perfect) and I promise you couldn't recreate it any cheaper.

What I set out to do with this car was create the best quick daily driver possible, while still being reliable, affordable and usable in most weather conditions. The stereo was built with two goals in mind: appear completely stock and still provide exceptional imaging and detail within that constraint.

Car:
2013 BRZ Limited, Satin White Pearl, 6 speed manual transmission.
I bought the car with about 8k miles on it from a Toyota engineer. The BRZ came with a lot of features that weren't available on the FR-S at the time. Heated Leather/Suede seats, completely keyless (entry and push button start), navigation and HID headlights. It puts other cars in its price range to shame in terms of material quality and shifter/steering feel. Great seats. The white pearl is by far the best looking color in my opinion.

Maintenance:
I've maintained the car since I had it. It has only gotten full synthetic oil changed at 3-5k intervals. The oil has gone to blackstone a couple of times with good results and if anything, the intervals could have been extended. The car currently has Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in it and has about ~1k left before getting another change. Transmission was recently changed with Redline MT-90 and differential was changed with Motul Gear 300. Cabin air filter was changed about 10k ago. No other maintenance is required per the owners manual besides inspections. Everything else is in great shape.

Modifications:
I added an Innovate supercharger kit at roughly 20k miles. The car has been run on E85 for almost the entire time I've had it, even before supercharging it. Prior to supercharging, it had an Openflash E85 tune for NA. E85 is relatively widely available in this area, and it makes a lot more power and is generally much safer with the trade of reduced gas mileage. The E85 takes the supercharger from "cool" to "wow" by itself. The tune has switchable maps (if you need to use gas in a pinch) and I can have it put back on gasoline permanently, but I really really don't recommend it unless you're taking it to an area where E85 isn't available.

The car is sitting on Eibach Pro-Kit, which are about a 1" drop and give the car a much more aggressive look without going too low. Wheels are chromium XXR 527 17x8.25 with 245/40/17 Pilot Super Sport tires. The PSS is the gold standard for a daily driven sports car, and with TC off it will gladly spin them. 245s are a considerable amount of rubber on a car this small.

Innovate Stage 2 Supercharger w/ Intercooler: $4500
Openflash Header: $450
XXR 527 Wheels, Pilot Super Sport 245/40/17: $1250
Moto-East Tune and ECUtek License - $900
Eibach Pro-Kit Springs: $220
Air Raid Intake: $315

Stereo:
Active crossover managed by a JBL MS-8 processor, Hybrid Audio Legatia L3v2 speakers in the dash are the real stars here. They have amazing high end response, so they are run without a tweeter to fit in the stock dash spots. Dayton RS180s in the doors, two Tang Band 8" subs in the trunk. Great imaging, definitely not the kind of stereo you wake your neighbors up with. All powered by an Alpine PDX-V9.

The good:
- As I've already mentioned, this car is very quick (~290 WHP at 2800lbs, capable of a mid-high 12s quarter) but also reasonably comfortable and has all the features you could want. Appears completely stock besides the wheels. As I like to say, this car is every bit as fast as it has any business being.

- The paint is in great shape minus two spots on the front bumper (high curb) and one tiny scrape on the rear bumper from my bike plus regular rock chips. It gets a thorough detail once a year and synthetic sealant. There are no other dents, dings or substantial scratches that I know of.

- In my opinion it's pretty much bulletproof at this point. It's been run in this setup for 20k miles with zero issues. There are faster 86s out there, but this one takes me to work every day.

- The exhaust sounds good without being piss-your-neighbors-off loud. Replaced the header, but from the header back everything is stock and pretty quiet.

The Bad:
-The clutch is right at its limit in terms of holding the power. If you floor it at low RPMs in 5th or 6th, it will slip a little, but really there's no reason to do that. Every other gear holds fine and the clutch isn't otherwise worn out. There may be a tiny bit of adjustment left to help that out a bit, since breathing on the pedal is enough to disengage it.

-The car still likes to throw an evap code every once in awhile when it's cold outside. All of the vacuum lines are secure and it has no impact on the function. It will go away after a couple more cold starts. This is pretty common with the Innovate kit.

-The Innovate kit also likes to wear out belts or make them squeak. I had a gates racing belt that is supposed to be the highest quality, but it was unbearably loud as well. It has a continental on it now that has been (knock on wood) extremely quiet. The car has broken one rib of one belt completely in the time I've had the blower on it, which made a lot of noise but the car was still driveable. I keep a spare belt and the tools to change it in the trunk (very easy) just in case.

-The stereo install in the trunk is ugly. I planned on making a fiberglass box for everything, but never got around to it, so it's just a bare MDF box. It's made to spec for the subs, just not a show car.

-There is a relay for the supercharger intercooler pump that's in a silly spot under the hood because I didn't want it tied into fuel injectors. It works great but sticks out a bit.

I think that's all. I still have all the stock parts, plus a couple of extra tires (continental extremecontact DW 245s) that I would include for a full price offer. I'd be willing to pull the stereo to bring the price down to something like 19,200 as I installed it in a way that's easily reversible and I know that's not everyone's thing. The price is pretty firm, as going much cheaper just means it's worth my time to part the car out.

I don't need help selling the car, I'm not doing anything besides cashiers checks or cash in person. I prefer text-based communication (text or e-mail) simply because I can get back to you a lot more reliably that way. This isn't a teenager's first car and I'm not entertaining joyriders.

Just in case it comes up, I'm only really interested in trades for something practical. Primarily I'm looking for a 2007+ crew cab pickup or select med-large SUVs that can tow and would still be looking for cash on top. I would also entertain higher mileage luxury sedans (IS250, etc) and some Subarus (Turbo EJ Forester, Legacy).

bump. Will likely start parting out this weekend if I don't get any more interest for the whole thing. Feel free to call dibs on wheels/header/innovate kit
