Side marker help (A-clip)

So I bought these cheap set of white Toyota side markers which were cheap because it needs work. So I thought I'd buy it and give it a shot. Now hopefully someone can help. The pic kinda explains the situation but anyway, there's leftover of the clip I'm having trouble removing. What tool do you guys suggest to remove it and also scrape off leftover JB weld inside.

That's a toughie.

You could maybe dremel down the center of the opening so you could reach the clip with needle nose pliers.

From what I remember the clips grip the post closer to the base, so it probably would be fine.

Could you please clarify when you say ”the clips grip the post closer to the base”

Hey so that clamp goes near the top of the side marker where it connects to the bumper. I kept having issues with these stupid side markers and I still do. Unfortunately, if you don't have the full clip to glue back into the plastic. Your efforts may be futile trying to get proper fit. I've gone through 4 sets of these things just because the clips keep failing when I take the bumper off to change my Air Filter. If you don't feel comfortable with Glue, you may just need to order a new set. But this upper clip your referring too is the one that prevents the pointed part from sticking out. I wish you the best of luck man.
