Tow hook Rear/Front bolt size?? Scion FR-S

Hey Everyone,

Would any of you know what is the tow hook thread/bolt size for the front/rear on the Scion Fr-S?? I've seen a thread on here that is similar but that thread is the license plate frame.. I've tried to search on google, but all I see are Cusco's tow hook.. Please help!

Or you can let me know which one on ebay will fit on the car & post it. I do not want the Cusco one, I would like a different color other than red..

Thanks!!

You could try Emailing GrimmSpeed, since they made the License plate kit for it, I'm sure they could provide that answer for you.

Thanks, I emailed them and they said the bolt sizes are proprietary information... but they did say although its the same auto manufacturers, almost all the bolts are different sizes.

But thanks for that tip though!

Do you mean the length of the bolt past the thread or what? Is it in your owners manual?

That proprietary information comment is such a load of s***, can't believe they told you that. You could try asking PERRIN as well, I know they have one available.

I actually dont know the answer to your first question..I want to put these things on there but i dont know if it fits... cause the below tow hook is 22mm on ebay which fits a 350Z.. but i want purple or gold but those colors go for a higher millimeter..

Well they do show the tow hook in the manual, but they dont provide the size..they only show a diagram of how to tow the car & how to take the cover out and such..

They sell tow hooks for like $110 for the FR-S but i dont want to spend that money on something someone can easly just take off off my car and walk away.
I already had some scratch my bumper at the raceway. Some people have no respect..

A towhook should only be installed at the track anyway...

Why would you leave it on? I know lots of people do, but other than the fact that other people do, why would you leave it on? To make your car look like it just came from the racetrack? Or is it actually a pain to remove? I know it's annoying changing wheels trackside. Just curious. I'm guilty of leaving my numbers on for the ride home from an autocross, but I take them off before I drive to work the next morning.

If they look good on why take the time to take them off?
And i dont really like how the cap is a different than the bumper itself...
But thats just me...
