ATD Detailed - 2003 VW Jetta (Dusty'ness')...Lots Of Pics

Hi Guys,

This one was by far the toughest interior that I have done so far. And if you've seen my posts, you would agree with me as well. I have done my fair share of interiors and this one just put up a HUGE fight.

It was relentless, didn't want to give in to my detailing. I think in the end it was worth it, for the turn-around.

I put Dusty'ness' in the title because the interior was covered in it. And this was not your typical surface "floating" dust, it was the stuck on type.

The owner had his own bucket of detailing supplies in the trunk, but hadn't looked after the vehicle for more than 5 years. Didn't have time to devote to the car.

I also found Charlie Sheen's signature in the vehicle as well. More on that later in the write up pics.

Here are the pics. Enjoy...:headbang:

shouldn't have wasted your time with this one and let it burn mk4s suck

side note for some reason all jettas attract copious amounts of dirt

Great job, I hate doing interior work when it's that bad man kudos to you and your level of patience... How bad was the paint? I'd imagine it was swirl city up in there. Did you just clay and wax or paint correction as well? I'd imagine this was a all day job >_< horrible, how can people drive every day in a car like that is beyond me.

i got compensated for my time and skill...hehe...

lol...it's the carpet that was the worst in this VW. in fact, the carpets in the VW cars are not that great...they are just as bad as the mazda carpets.

thank you man. i love the turn around from interior work.

well the client didn't look after the car for 5 years and he will try his hardest to maintain it in the next few years. we'll see what happens to the vehicle. can't correct bad habits...

paint was not so bad actually, it's a 2003 and not really swirled up...yes there are defects in the paint, but nothing eye popping or astounding.
