Traction problems on wet roads. Tire recommendation?

Since installing my Harrop supercharger about a month ago I've noticed that my current tires are total crap in the rain. I could break them loose when the car was bone stock but now I'm having an impossible time with traction when the roads are the least bit wet. The car came with brand new yokohama avid envigor tires and the reviews I've found on Tire Rack seem to indicate decent wet traction, but that's just not what I'm experiencing.
Just the other day I had to start on a hill from a red light and the back end just sat there spinning. Let off the accelerator and try to ease back into it, spinning... it was a bit ridiculous.

I'm probably going to be putting some snow/winter tires on the car in the next week or so but when they come back off I'm tempted to just chuck the yokohama's in the bin and try something new. Any suggestions? (For stock wheels)

If you really want better traction after boosting, you really need to get more tire on the ground. I went with 245/35ZR18 Michelin Pilot Super Sports and 18x9 whweigh on my wife's BRZ.

Compound is more important than size. Switch to a good summer tire and you will be fine. Everyone seems to love Michelin Pilot Super Sports, but it really depends on what you do with your car.
