Do you have secondary transportation?

So for anyone that is daily-ing a boosted twin, do you have a secondary means of transportation such as a motorcycle or second vehicle or whatever?

Just curious, I plan on going JRSC or Edelbrock down the road but just as insurance I was going to purchase an enduro or supermoto. Wondering how many people don't have a backup plan, I mean you need to get your job somehow right in case sh!t happens. .

I leased a new accord $0 down, $289 mo for this exact reason. Easy peace of mind, and pulled the brz from daily driven status once I started to get serious about tracking it.

If you're boosting it, I have to assume its paid for, as it wouldn't make sense to potentially grenade a car you don't actually own. So adding a lease payment to my monthly expenses was an easy choice once the car note for the brz went away.

Yup. Boosted FRS is a hangar queen. Bought a nice used SUV from Craigslist for an actual daily and winter war machine.

My wife drives her supercharged BRZ every day. She's a Realtor and drives a LOT of miles. She does not have a backup vehicle. This is why we went the Edlebrock route with her car. I feel like it is the closest to a "factory" boost solution out on the market. It makes plenty of power for having fun, but isn't going to break a bunch of parts and has been 100% reliable so far.

Eh if you're running sane amounts of boost, maintain it, and don't drive like you're insane, its probably within the threshhold of a reasonablr daily. I think the biggest threat with superchargers is a broken belt leaving you stranded.

No hate there! Plan for the worst but hope for the best.

I putt around a 2007 Honda Fit when I'm not driving the FR-S. It's good to have a beater to keep the miles down on the fun car.

I have a 2010 kia forte and a 97 jeep wrangler. I know soon or later my motors coming out for months. So a 2nd or 3rd car is must for me.

I have a spare belt in the trunk, with a ratchet for the tension pulley. I had a motorcycle until I crashed it last year, so no secondary transportation except for my wife's car. My BRZ is my daily driver.
