How to properly store your car for winter?
Hello, I know its a bit early to talk about storing cars but I want to make sure that I have everything ready for when the time comes. This is the first nice car I have ever owned so this will also be the first time I have had to store a car. I tried looking for any other posts about this but couldn't find any. Anyways, anyone have a list of things I would need/what I need to do to prep my car?! Thanks everyone!

Make sure all 5 tires are up to required pressures before storage.
Best to turn off engine. If you are really picky, disconnect battery to make sure you won't come back to a car, in the spring, with a dead battery. Anything else you do is a waste of time...eg. the fuel in tank will easily store for a few months. Enjoy your winter beater whilst your fun car is in storage. |

I would be more nervous about parking beside that shopping cart corral than driving in the winter!

Shopping cart was on slicks. Wasn't going anywhere in that much snow.

I have a phobia about the cart corrals ever since my first brand new car ever had the passenger door dented less than 45 minutes after I got it. I will walk 10 minutes before I will park beside one even if there are no carts in it.

I store mine for about 3-4 months out of the year (whenever there's salt on the roads in minnesota), drive it the rest of the time. Mine is out until i see snow on the ground. Ill probably pull the battery with full tank of gas/stabilizer. I do use a car cover (BRZ one from subaru), but this year i wont be able to due to my new splitter and additional aero i put on the car, oh well.
Even then ill sit in it and start it for a little while during the winter months just to get the excitement of hearing my exhaust.
