classical music anyone?

lol I have a feeling people who are into cars usually wouldn't be into classical, but anyone? I play piano, and I have probably a bit too much knowledge about repertoire. My favorite piece is Medtner Sonata Minaciossa op.53 no.2. I'm a huge late Scriabin fan. Currently practicing Chopin Ballade no.4, op.52, Rachmaninoff First Concerto in F# min 1st movement.

classical is awesome. i don't listen to it as much as i really would like to, and some of it does nothing for me, but the good stuff is AMAZING.

lololol all my classes are naptime :P (I'm still in high school, decisions for college coming out in 3 hours :O)

I think a big problem with trying to sell classical to the public is you need to get into it. I hear people being all, omg Bach, Mozart, but those are a little more difficult to appreciate. Ideally people should be exposed to classical through Romantic music, more exciting, melody oriented stuff, like Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, Rachmaninoff. Those are composers that are "easy" to listen to.

I'm a pianist and professional trumpet player. Classical is my paycheck. I also dig newer stuff from Puccini (Nessun Dorma) and some of the modern composers in the US and Canada. I do some stuff myself, but I prefer to write pop music. Its more fun.

Yep, I'm a fan as well. I've played trumpet for about ten years now. I play for a brass ensemble at my college currently. We get a good mix of classical and jazz..
