Best way to make exhaust louder?

got a 2016 frs with the factory installed borla axleback system. It sounds good but still kinda "stock and restrictive". Was wondering what upgrades would be best to make the car louder, little more rasp and crackle would be cool.

Cat delete over/front pipe? Unresonated midpipe? Both?

headers are a possibility but would have to save up. Thanks for any info yall have.

also wondering if any exhaust upgrades would be redundant and drowned out by the borla mufflers.

thanks

They all would work.
Catless header for power.
Front pipe because it's cheap.
Midpipe would be the last option.
I would choose header because you will actually be a little faster(5-10hp) instead of just sounding fast. Everything else would gain you 2-3hp if you are lucky.

That's your problem right there. Borla is not loud. Berk muffler dual tip delete is loud. Lose the muffler!

Going full catless gets you loud. Video doesn't do as much justice.

Changing to a muffler-less cat back as previously suggested will help. Keep in mind if you do that and then eventually do the rest of the exhaust your car will be very very loud. If you want to keep the stockish look with the borla id do headers and front pipe for the most change in tone power and volume.

catless header and over/front pipe sounds the best. Good headers and a tune is around $1000-$1200. Was wondering if this catless front pipe that attaches to the stock header would make any difference?

Front pipe attaches to the over pipe not the header. It makes a tone difference but not louder. I just installed a ACE Cat-less front pipe on mine with stock header and over pipe and an N1 cat back with a none resonated mid pipe.

Garage
Step 1: remove overpipe
Step 2: start her up and let it rip!
