Rear Bumper Diffuser Accessory

Would you recommend having the rear bumper diffuser added on to the BRZ? What exactly does it do and is it worth it? ($749.00 as an add on through Subaru)

It depends how you like it. It's OEM and has OEM quality ! Someone ppl might think this piece is expensive and not even worth it but you are the one to judge.

I do like it myself and I got one on ordered

It looks kind of cool, I think that's the most that can probably be said about it.

I've got one sitting here to go on an FR-S at some point. It's a high-quality piece, but still pretty expensive for a piece of plastic (and this is coming from someone who deals in high-priced plastic, lol).

I'm wishing I would have ordered it an just put it in the payments. But I got 0 dealer options and I can't justify paying $700 for it now :/

function of the piece is at a minimum. angles are bad for providing any efficient downforce. If you like the look, go for it. If you are looking for performance, save your $$...

especially since the front side of that part is open and just catches air; just like the faux diffuser. Still looks ok though. But I don't like the Subaru add on.

I would rather spend $120 + shipping on a pair of JDM exhaust tips.

Its lots cheaper on subarupartsonline.com IF you must have it but it can't do much and as said before it is a very expensive piece of plastic. All the holes are there if you choose to do it later and if the dealer does it is again too expensive for now.

I'm sure it won't be long before we start seeing decent quality replicas on ebay for sub $100, just like with the STi Limited front lip.

I think I'm going to get it for my BRZ. But I do agree...it does make the stock exhaust look even smaller!
