Red face BRZ on Enkei Compe 16x8

Haven't yet seen a BRZ on these. I really liked the look on the FRS.
So, here's my WRB BRZ(RCE Yellow, -2* F&R Camber) on Enkei Compes. These are the 16x8 +25 version in matte gray. Running the new Nexen SUR4 in 225/50

How is the feel compared to stock size? I really like the look of the 16" with meaty tire.

I LOVE running 16"s on my BRZ in the winter. These cars look epic with fat rubber.

Those are some meaty sidewalls! Do you notice a difference in ride quality vs. 17's?

Those look so badass!!!

Like Panasports on steroids. For the 21st century. Love the blue lugnuts. Great color. Perfect size. I'm on 16"s myself. On rough pavement and for boring freeway commutes, 16"s are perfect.

Great job!

Your thread was one of the ones I checked out, before deciding. I really liked that setup.

Even with these 200tw tires, you can feel less harshness(KEntucky backroads aren't the best). Response and turn in is what you'd expect with stickier tires.

Definitely feels smoother, but as said above, no noticeable decrease in response. (best I ran on 17's was 340tw, these are 200tw)

That looks awesome. Props for having the stones to go 16" when everyone goes up in size!

Love the old school style. I was gonna get a set of these for dailies, then my friend got me a deal I couldn't pass up on the old school style wheels I really wanted.

My wallet would have preferred the Enkeis. haha

Slight offtopic.
Style is one thing. IIRC originally watanabes were that popular not due style, but due weight. (And weren't them back then also from magnesium?). Imho what wallet would prefer most - some used forged wheel set (got mine for 1/4 of price of new from classifieds).

Yeah, a lot were magnesium. I nearly bought a set of magnesium ones, but with Chicago's awful roads (and these being my daily wheels) I opted for the alloys. They're 17x8 and weight about the same as stock. Magnesium would have weighed about 13lbs!

I do agree that a used forged set is better for track use though. I'm picking up a set of RPF1s for track/autox. Eventually I'll look for some used CE28s or RE30s.

Those look excellent. If only I felt like spending the money on a set of magnesium ones. :p

Correct. the magnesium ones were very light. These are more for a daily drive. I have a set of 17" NT03+Ms I plan on putting some better tires on.
