Dealer recommendations for purchase?
I'm interested in purchasing a BRZ soon but I've never actually driven one. Does anyone here work at a dealership or have a recommendation to the least annoying salesman you've dealt with? I'm not just looking for a joyride it could result in a sale depending on my decision of what year to go with, but I need to get some time behind the wheel first.
Thanks! |

I can't help you much if you want the BRZ, but if you're willing to consider an FR-S/GT86 I very highly recommend Big Two Toyota.

Thanks for the recommendation. Right now I just want seat time, so I don't really care. If I go 2017 it'll be whoever can get me the brake package/performance. I've only seen subaru mention that so far?

I'm going to throw up a recommendation for Dan Clark. Here's his contact information if anyone else is looking. He's been awesome to deal with.

I didn't buy my BRZ at a Subaru Superstore but I hear they're a nicer dealership and being exclusive Subaru they have lots more inventory to choose from.

I've been really happy with my interactions with them so far. Right now I'm considering the used market but there just isn't much out there, plus I would prefer 2015+ per a tuners recommendation.

Subaru of Chandler is a great dealership--have had 2 family members and my gf get their cars from there!
In particular, we've worked with a guy named Morgan, he's really laid back and in general they don't have a pressuring sales philosophy. I highly recommend them. |

I bought my BRZ from Subaru Superstore. I can't remember the sales guy but it was a very easy going process, didn't feel pressured at all. I'd recommend them.

Got mine at Tucson Subaru from Trent Nichols, he's the Internet Sales Manager there and he's actually helped me buy 2 different cars. Always gives a pretty decent discount and he's knowledgeable. Not pushy like most car salesman I've dealt with.

I'm now considering an FR-S, but I think we should keep this going. I definitely like to reward local dealerships that treat people well. Thanks for all the feedback! Maybe people can share their Toyota/Scion good experiences as well?
If everyone wants to keep this going I can edit my first post with everyone's recommendations. Feel free to mention negative places too! |

I'd stay away from Precision Toyota of Tucson, wouldn't even let me test drive the FR-S release series 2.0 cuz I look young, but later I came back with my buddies M5 and had 3 salesman (one was the one who wouldn't let me test drive the FR-S) come up to me asking what I was interested in, I just laughed and said I was just on my way to Subaru

About 15 minutes after I left, the guy (Tom) calls me. He had kept searching anyway and found it. Mind you, this is after the parts counter has already closed for the day. Top notch service and it's why I keep going back there to order parts, even though they're an extra 15 minutes away than my closest dealer. I have not personally experienced this, but have heard from friends who have had warranty work done there and they do not care about modded cars or cars that have been autocrossed/tracked as long as the issue is unrelated. |

I ended up with a FRS 2.0 from Autonation Toyota Tempe. I worked with Jon Mefford who was extremely patient with answering all my emails and questions. I prefer to only deal in the beginning in email and he endured it well. They're a typical no haggling Scion dealership but they did have the best price in the valley by quite a lot. Their finance department was good, typical upsell but not nearly as obnoxious as a lot of others I've endured. Only asked once. Their fees were reasonable, there was no anti-theft etching glass charge or additional garbage, but they do pretint all their cars (pretty standard in AZ) so expect to pay $399 for that. I recommend this dealership and sales person.
