I examined the notion while digging thru other v8 options last year, but with a crossplane F136 from a Maserati coupe, due to height and packaging concerns, and the fact that it's much easier to adapt a FR drive train than an MR one. Never found a torque tube & bellhousing for the length to the rear transaxle, and wasn't willing to buy the whole setup just to measure dimensions...
...Or to post another wildly speculative thread and hope somebody on the forum knows another exotic auto recycler. ...because the Porsche transaxle thread was so productive.. Pity.. every time I think I have an original idea that nobody else will think of or try.
