I'm gonna admit i kinda dont like the look of the car. I LOVE the front end by itself but as soon as you see it with the more subtle sides and back of the car all of a sudden i feel it stands out like a sore thumb. I feel like they should have made the rest of the car more agressive looking to match the feel.

I keep going back and forth with the looks of the car. The side profile shots and new spoiler remind me of the Hyundai Genesis, but in person I think it will look better like the first generation models.... An aero kit might help as well

Design-wise, I think Subaru has done very well with this MCR. The front end appears a bit wider and lower; it's subtly more aggressive without going over the top (and then falling into a big bowl of rice, like the new GT86). The way they have brought the narrow horizontal body-coloured element that's under the front grill up and around the DRLs, giving that area a "double-bladed" look, is a brilliant bit of styling (and may have some aero function as well).

Integrating the turn signals into the LED package means no more off-putting amber being visible in the lighting areas when the turn signals aren't being used. And the small changes at the ends of the black plastic front bumper cover, along with its thinner vertical profile, substantially ameliorate the "mouth-guard" look which was the car's weakest design element.

At the back, the new lights have a more cohesive look and match up better with the front lighting. The new wing looks more purposeful and aggressive (although a body-coloured option should be offered - the black will look great on the black and white cars, and the series.yellow, but not so great on the others).

Nice straightforward review for a change. Can't wait to test drive this puppy.

Looking at those review photos, it may be that the wing will look fine with any car colour - its horizontal black element goes a long ways to balance out the heavy-looking dark black mass of the rear diffuser/exhaust fascia.

I like the new fender "vents." I wonder if those are compatible with 2016 and back models.

Not really sure if I like the new rear wing at all. I know it should function better, but looks wise it doesn't really flow.

Yep, fenders remain unchanged so they will swap.

I fixed that with an LED bulb! (Best photo I have at the moment.)

This problem was solved at least a decade ago with the aftermarket. I used to have the Koito / Polarg ones with my old car (Pmall doesn't sell them anymore so I gave up).

"Silver coating on the orange turn signal bulb provides a silvery appearance when the bulb is not lit. Recommended for customers with an eye for detail.
*2pcs. included in a package
Does the orange bulb color visible through the clear lens bother you when the lights are off?
This bulb has a silver coating, so the orange color is nearly invisible when the bulb is not lit. This gives a clean and smooth look to the entire clear lens. This vehicle has especially visible bulbs, so this bulb is particularly effective in giving the vehicle a more stylish look. Naturally, the bulb shines orange when lit. "

Ditto. And what's that little gizmo to the rear of the shift lever?

I believe that's for the JDM-only head unit.
