How to limp mode..

Has anyone come up with something to apply limp mode?. Let's say u don't want someone driving your car like you do. Maybe a secret switch or something?

I read that ecutek has a valet map since ecutek has the option to switch between 4 maps or something. So valet guys can't take an frs and hoon it. Or you can create a tune with the limp mode maps and load it before you loan your car to someone. I believe base timing A is the ignition map for limp mode.

Yeah you can do it with ecutek map switching or by flashing a special tune.

with say the rpm limit at 4000 or so, .

you would have to be carefull though as you may create a dangereous situation for the driver if they tried to overtake or something and the low rpm limit or ingnition timing reduction kicked in at low rpm.

quick one woulld be unplug maf sensor, car will start but pretty sure it will trip interna limp mode but you would not want to drive far like that.

Thanks guys. Yea I recently had an issue with my speed sensors and I could drive the car but couldn't do anything. But when people asked if they can drive it I was like sure haha. Maybe if I can trace a wire and put in a toggle or something to cut something that will trip limp mode that will be a quick design. I run oft so not all that quick of changing tunes.

I've got a Unichip in the box that you can load with a valet or immobilizer map. Wanna buy it?

Sale back in April fell thru.
