Exhaust suggestions? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Hello all! Noob here in the forums... Just picked myself up a 2015 FRS a few days ago and the exhaust is soooo quiet! I know to get the "Subaru" boxer engine sound you'll need UEL headers and exhaust but I have no idea where to start.

Any suggestions for setups with sound video links?

Also I'm on a budget so preferably more of a manageble price...

Not sure if anyone has tried this, but how will the stock exhaust sound with a resonator delete and a smaller muffler? Lol #ricer

this site is loaded with all the info you need tho bro, just sit back and do a bit of research and im certain you will gather more info than you thought you needed

www.youtube.com is this fantastic new place where if you type in things like "BRZ Exhaust" it will return video results with, you guessed it, BRZ's with different exhaust setups!

I would highly suggest the Borla exhaust for the FRS/BRZ, it really sounds amazing, its quiet at idle, 0 drone, but it sounds super aggression and nasty, and its nice and deep, not a fart can exhaust.

Nope!

It sounds like it's trying to be like a WRX's exhaust note, but not quite getting it right. And even the Subie rumble on WRX's has been ruined by bros, IMO.

Same with humfrz nameless axle back but instead I got the 3" tip with 4" muffler doesn't drone and very quiet at idle also very deep.

Thanks for the info on the UEL headers too, I wasn't sure how well they'd work with the FRS.
