Front brake upgrade - DBA + EBC

Swapped out my front OEM rotors for the DBA t3 slotted (not drilled) rotors. Also tossed on a set of EBC Yellows.

The car is a DD on 215 PSS tires. Gets autoX-ed aboug 6-7 times a year, and one or maybe two lapping days per year as well. Previous brakes were OEM rotors, stoptech steel braided lines and stoptech pads all around. (the rears are unchanged)

The new rotor/pad combo seems great. Can't comment on heat tolerance (my main reason to upgrade), but bite, feel and stopping power is awesome. Honestly, the stoptech pads were a HUGE upgrade from the OEM pads, but this is almost the same amount of upgrade from those.

I don't want to get into a huge debate over pads. The truth is, I know I didn't buy noisy carbotechs. It's a 17k mile per year DD. I'm just trying to get the best brakes while being liveable (and reasonably quiet is part of it).

The Yellows are MORE than enough power for any kind of street driving. Possibly a tiny bit of overkill. They do take a stop or two to really warm up. We'll see if I will need to swap them out for the winter, but in the dead of summer they are fine.

I am curious how they'll hold up on track. I've heard a HUGE range of opinions, from junk to amazing. I'm assuming something in between, and that's cool. I don't have enough tire to need any more bite, and I am just hoping this combo is fairly heat resistant, which was my reason for purchasing. I don't care about dust so much, and I don't care about lifespan of the pads. If they hold up without fading on a 20-30m track session with occasional cooldown laps I honestly don't need anything more from my brakes at this point in time.

But, moral of the story:
Really happy with the setup so far. Braking distance is HUGELY reduced, controlling/modulating the pedal to maximize grip while keeping out of the ABS is really easy and no noise so far after a good bedding. If you don't track the car, I an already tell you that it's a REALLY good setup. TBD otherwise.
