Exhaust shop to install exhaust :(

Just like the title says in limited with my tools... tried but struggled so I might as well pay...I called a couple shops around my area which is Menifee/hemet they are quoting 130-180 which is ridiculous cuz I got my headers installed for a 100 at fuzion teknique if u guys know of a shop that does for competitive price with 45 mile radius from Menifee that would be awesome

Are you talking about just the catback? Evasive charges 75 for catback. So if you think about it, just buy 4 jack stands at harbor freight for 50 and then return it when you're done (: the only other thing you really need is like a socket wrench set and a conventional wrench. Oh and wd-40. A friend would also be nice too. But then again, which part are you struggling at?

I have all the above the problem is the jack I currently have doesn't lift the car high enough and then what with I was able to lift the car one bolt seemed to be an a super awkward position couldn't reach and and a friend is missing tbh

Hm, I used a harbor freight jack stand 3 ton and just cranked it to the second highest after using floor jack. But then again, it could depend on body size too. I'm in oc area so if you are down to come over here, I could help for free. just shoot me a pm. Other than that, here's a free bump if any person around your area is willing to help or know any places!

I'm going to have to visit a shop tomorrow to remove the 2 nuts holding on the front pipe to the front by the cat. I think they were cross threaded from the factory, they just will not budge. With a lift I might have been able to loosen them, but on jack stands, there's no way I can do it.

You should try it with a buddy going from each side. I tried it underneath and it was impossible. Check this video out and try it like they did at 3:10

Get a better jack.

For any catback exhaust, you'll need:

1x 12mm and 1x 14mm for the front spring bolt
2x 14mm for the midpipe > muffler bolts

As for hangers, WD-40 or you can invest in one of these for any car you own in the future:

Most catbacks will use same 14mm bolts, unless you are going with a domestic manufacturer. You reuse the spring bolts.

And even without a lift, I have zero issues with accessing bolts. Sounds like you just need better tools.

for a catback install, you dont even need to raise the car at all 4 corners. just the rear, or one side is plenty of space, so that means only 2 jack stands at minimum if you're trying to save costs.

if you need more leverage while underneath, instead of a breaker bar that wont fit, you can do the two wrench method and it can create more torque to break a bolt free.

if you absolutely must pay someone to install, for whatever reason you have, then u dont even need a "tuner" shop which sounds like there isnt much out there in your area anyway. a catback install is so straight forward, any mechanic/body shop should be able to do it under an hour.

I have personally changed the exhaust on my BRZ and buddy's FRS a couple times now and all I needed was a jack, jack stands, and wheel chocks to get the car prepped for removal/install. Like others have mentioned, if you plan on doing it yourself purchase a new jack (I hope you're not using a scissor jack!) and you shouldn't run into clearance issues while under the car. Car has 2 spring bolts at the midpipe & exhaust hangers that hold it in place. It is a relatively easy swap and if you need assistance I am more than willing to help out if you need a hand/tools.

Trust me I know how simple it is I went and bought 1.5 ton jack from harbor freight and lifted the car but it only lifts 14 inch and I'm thick not fat but thick and the one bolt I new I was gonna struggle with is at an angle I could reach it but not put enough force to break it lose

I had the guy at the exhaust shop try the nuts while the car was in the air on the lift getting a cherry bomb welded in place. He couldn't get them to budge either- the nuts are bound up, probably cross threaded. So we left it and I'm just keeping the stock mid pipe in place. If I upgrade my exhaust, I'll have to do the overpipe and the midpipe as one.
