DRL and fogs wiring help please.

The previous owner had under glow installed on the car, but removed it before I purchased. One of my fog lights went out today and I dug in to see the damage myself. It looks like an LED bulb, but the housing has all of this hard white clay/paste on it, and the plug does not look OEM. the wire bundle that gives power to the DRL and fogs was split and another plug (under glow i presume) was attached. As of now, the DRL only light with the high beams on. Any suggestions on how to return the DRL to stock operation? Pics of fog light housing and wiring attached.

That's not oem fog, the clay you mention is to seal or hold the bulb in place. You could remove it just cut it off and replace with an e bay fog light kit, or do what he did and reseal after replacing bulb 😅. I got my fog kit from diode dynamic which use connector to tap into low beam, so when low beam is on fog light auto on too.

For experience you could test by splicing into the oem harness one by one (I think only a few wire) to test which is for drl (drop handbrake while testing) won't hurt just wrap exposed wire with electrical tape when done. Black to black/ground than there's one more or power source which will be the one you'll be testing

or

Google which pin on oem harness plug is drl than splice there to be sure and save the trouble.
