Anybody here with a Kenwood DNX573S or DNX773S ?
Is there anybody here with hands on experience with the new Kenwood DNX573S (or the DNX773S)?
I am specifically talking about the series ending with a '3' because it has Linux as operating system which seems very responsive and better laid out then most horrible double Dins out there. It is the new Kenwood DNX double din with built in Navigation, Car Play and Android Auto. I haven' seen one in person yet. They seem available in the US, no news about availability in Canada as of yet. I am thinking of replacing my stock unit with one of these. I prefer a unit with built in Nav so that I am not dependable on cell data usage when using navigation.

Well, I've got a response
Did you end up buying the 7150DAB? Does it have a Linux OS? Of so, how do you like it?

No, didn't buy it as I can't justify the 1k (Sterling) spend when I'm hardly using the car. But the temptation is there..

I'm specifically looking for a unit that is responsive and is more user friendly then the usual offerings.
Most Kenwoods, Pioneers and the likes are pretty horrible when it comes to menu layout en responsiveness. I went through quite a few units in the years and have yet to find something that I really like. I still have a Kenwood unit in one of my cars bit it is seriously laggy and I hate the user-friendliness. The wife doesn't mind so I am not planning on replacing it anytime soon. I am sure it is feature rich but I can't say I use most of the features. I just want a simple and solid no nonsense head unit that just works and is nicely integrated. That is why I am pretty keen on trying out Car Play. But I will need a backup 'off line' navigation when traveling across the border. Data rates are capped here, cell coverage is limited at best and the cost is killing me already and I refuse to roam. One of the things I liked about this car is the possibility to upgrade the head unit. But I have yet to find one that fits the bill without costing me an arm and a leg. Looking at this video, it seems pretty responsive.

They sure do look alike.. The 3 series has a new operating system and menu's. It should be snappy and less cluttered.
I don't think there are actual user reviews yet. They say it should hit the market in March and last time I looked at my calendar it's June now so they should be out there.

Looks awesome, if you get to try it let us know, I want a built in navigation in my head unit too seems more convenient and reliable. Looking at Yinuo double din android 4.4.4 6.2in quad core 16gb one on amazon, current have 5 star review from 5 different people, and I'm talking to them see if it will fit the frs/brz..

The Yinuo looks like a decent unit, cheap too.
But it does not support Android Auto or Apple Car Play. And I would prefer a physical volume knob.
