MXP SP Exhaust and Edelbrock?

Hello all,

Couldn't find this using search and was hoping I could get some insight

I currently have the edelbrock on my car in CARB Tune and was wondering if getting the MXP SP exhaust would mess with that.. would I have to get a custom tune? contact edelbrock? would I actually see gains with this system while still having all the Catalytic converters? I don't think I will be getting the front pipe since I don't want it too loud and I would like to keep my car CARB (California). Any input would be appreciated or any recommendations as well. (looking for a nice rumble exhaust without being too loud or aggressive/droney for DD. Also does anyone know the size of the exhaust? I didn't see it i know some people get the 3" for turbo applications and ive heard people stick with 2.5" for stock and or super charger set ups? correct me if im wrong or if anyone can explain the benefits or disadvantages of one or the other. Thanks!!

John

Is the Edlebrock kit actually CARB legal? I thought they were still in CARB review.

I doubt the exhaust will be a problem. Get headers and you may have issues.

Just like with a stock car, cat back won't affect your flow too much and won't need a tune. Once you start messing with the headers and taking out cats, then you'll need a tune.
