Did the install yesterday, scoobymods page:

I did do some pre and post sound readings. I searched the internet and found a technique for measuring sound: Staying level with the tailpipe opening, at a ~45° angle - 45" away place the sound meter to take the reading.

1,000 61 / 67

1,500 72 / 81.5 (cold)

2,000 70 / 74

3,000 77 / 81

5,000 85 / 89

I will take more readings later when the muffler breaks in. I will also do some digital recording of the sound. Here is a quick video I took with my camera:

I haven't had the car out on the road yet to give my impressions of the new muffler but will update the page when I do. We have been having some bad storms in KS w/ baseball sized hail. Trying to avoid that.

I've had a few people ask for an in cabin recording.

Here are two audio only links I recorded with a Tascam Dr-07 Mark II, even with the dead cat on the mics you still can hear a fair amount of wind noise when I open the windows.

For the first link the recorder is mounted on the headrest basically were the passenger's head would be (see pics):
