Help with Tein Flex-Z

Hi all,

I recently got flex -z coilovers about two months ago, and they have been great. I have been having issues when adjusting the dampening, however. When I go to adjust the dampening on any of the 4 coilovers, it goes about 29 clicks from soft to stiff. From my understanding, these coils are only supposed to be 16 step adjustable. Did I over torque/turn them when I first installed them? Is there something I'm missing?

Also, when going from soft to stiff, there is notable pressure on the know as it gets to about 16 clicks, which makes me think I over turned them.

The instructions (if i recall correctly) say not to adjust more than 16 clicks. it doesn't say that the knob won't turn more than 16 clicks.

Are you feeling subtle clicks, or actual clicks? I was adjusting mine, and it feels like subtle clicks, but it's just half a click.

same thing with my flex coils.
i just turned them clockwise (stiff) until it didn't then CCW half turn to get them into "place" or "click" as a starting point.
and start from there CCW counting your clicks.
and it will turn more than 16 clicks CCW but don't exceed it as it is not recommended.

By subtle I mean it feels like a click, but was only really half of a click. I've only adjusted mine once. Went to full stiff and clicked it back 7 or 8 clicks.

Overhead for... custom valving, or other shenanigans. Don't go past 16 or you may damage your damper.
