Borla Exhaust

Hello,

I am new to the boards having bought a 2016 BRZ around a month ago. I wanted to add an exhaust system and was pretty much sold on the Borla since i have installed them on my previous cars.

There are three options for the BRZ, the S-type with muffler in back (140496), the touring rear almost oem replacement (11839) and one that is labeled for BRZ models up to 2014 1014034). I like the last option, the 1014034 because i prefer the tips. The only thing is that everything i read states it is not compatible with the 2016 BRZ. Can anyone confirm that this exhaust will or wont fit? I was not aware of any changes to exhaust between the model years.

Thanks!

The exhaust on the 2013-16 models is identical (except for a change of tips in 2015). It will fit.

Hi Cease. When looking for tech info you are way better off in the tech threads. The guys that can answer some of the questions don't always stray into General territory.

Thanks for the replies! I wanted to place an order soon (money just burns holes in your pockets sometimes!) so called Borla. They stated the 1014034 was the same as the 11839 but the '34 is a Euro model which has additional paperwork in case you are planning on going to Europe. The reason why they do not have the '15-'16 BRZ listed is because they have not done testing for fitment not that it does not fit.

Hope that helps some others on the boards! I will place an order, get it mounted and post some pics!

The 1014034 and 11839 are physically different too, if you look at each of them, you can see the difference. The 1014034 is the option that Scion/Toyota offers OEM, because it meets the euro spec.

I had the touring installed last week (11839). Bought from Amazon. Fits and sounds amazing. And the tips fill the cutouts perfectly.

The Borlas are awsome

I personally threw in a dual Berk muffler delete for cheap and to me sounds better than the magna-flows and pretty much most of the exhausts I've heard for this car
