Cel P1263 direct injector circuit open

Soooo car was running fine on OFT UEL e85 tune and has been for the past 3-4 months with nothing out of the ordinary. I decide to do a launch today and CEL immediately pops and I lose complete power. Throttle input will not even register when I monitor it with the OFT. The code is for direct injector circuit open cylinder 3. Clearing the code doesn't work and the car won't move under its own power. So a tow truck is currently taking it to the local toyota dealer but I think I'm going to get screwed this time. It was there 6 months ago for the DI seals not seated properly that many early models were plagued with and fixed under warranty. The bumper to bumper has now expired but power train is still active. I flashed the car back to the stock tune and left it for the tow truck guy but unfortunately there's still a quarter tank of e85 still in the car :/. Anyone ever ran into this code before? I did a search but didn't pull any results however there appears to be several codes which all could be due to the same problem.

Searched another area of the forum. Seems the issue is probably an injector that they had previously replaced :/ http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ighlight=P1262

the problem now will be that when they fix problem car may not start and will run like crap as it got e85 fuel and a petrol tune, and if its cold it may not even start.

Then they may spend ages working out whats wrong and charge you.

:/ well I plan on telling the guy it has some e85 in the tank and that I had an e85 tune on it. No sense in hiding it since the bumper to bumper was up. I just hope that maybe since they were practically brand new injectors they installed that they may switch the one bad one if that is indeed the issue.

Steve would you suggest just telling them it has e85 in it but I reflashed to stock tune hoping it would return to a drivable state? Or do you suggest I tell them it has e85 in it and offer to Reflash with correct e85 tune so when it is fixed it will have the correct tune for the fuel? I just don't know how I should handle it. Unfortunately I don't really know of any reliable shops around me who have experience with the FA20 so that's why I decided to tell the tow drive to drop it off at toyota.

I think it has to be either something electrical or the injector failed because of the gas pedal not registering and the way it runs when it is cranked up. It seems like the ecu is confused and doesn't know what is going on and can't sort it out. I just find it hard to believe this could be due to e85 or the tune since it has been running great until today but I know the dealer will probably blame it on the tune and e85.

Edit: sucks it's all happened right now when I put a deposit down on a Focus RS and buy brand new hankook rs3's for the car in preparation to trade in a few months. Also the bumper to bumper warranty only expired 15 days ago :/.

Hard decision now as your pretty snookered no matter what hou do

If it had the e85 tune and fuel they probably would not notice.

if its an electrical problem with injector or electical problem then you should be fine.

if its a seal problem then yep they could blame fuel\tune

if they have not started work on car you may be able to flash back e85 tune, at least car will run properly for them

So apparently the mechanic said a clip with a metal piece was not pushed in fully when the injectors were replaced under warranty for the seal issue. Just picked it up reflashed back to e85 tune and everything is great. Did not have to pay a penny for the tow, rental, or them fixing it. Just wanted to update in case anyone else ever got this or a similar code.
