Looking for R35/GT-R Aero data... on the NACA ducts

Does anyone have any info on the R35 in the form of wind tunnel testing. I'm specifically wondering about the functionality of the twin NACA ducts located on the hood. If I remember correctly on the GT-R they are placed pretty much above the turbos and the turbo inlets are in a sealed airbox towards the front of the engine compartment. I am wondering what Nissan found in terms of functionality in the placement (as in Cooling benefit vs. Drag.) Is the fresh air moving over the turbo's the main cooling benefit? Or are they but useless scoops hindering the aerodynamics?

Being their halo car I cannot see Nissan simply having there just for aesthetics.

The reason I'm asking is because it is the closest thing I can find placement wise to the NACA duct as on the Version 2 Varis hood (2 large frontal heat extractors and a center/rear NACA duct.) I've been reading on this and have only been able to find a few conversations on this but were too littered with praticipants spewing bullshit without necessarily backing up their reasoning with facts. I am aware of the NACA ducts purpose and function usung the boundry layer of air... just not on how it is working when it isn't venting anywhere or being used in a ram air/intake configuration.
