Upgrade head unit

I want to upgrade my 15 frs head unit to something more powerful. Does anyone have suggestions on what head unit I should get?
Thanks

Maybe you are you looking for Android head-unit? I have "Ownice C200 Toyota Universal" android headunit installed in my BRZ. It has few bugs, but overall I am happy with it. There are no lags, runs most apps without issues and looks OEM (same size as original head-unit). It comes with connection harness, but you will need antenna adapter separately and to connect amp control wire (otherwise door speakers will not work). Also, some mods to bracket is needed for flush fit or head-unit is quite deep in the bezel.

The Pioneer NEX are great units. I definitely noticed a sound improvement after upgrading. The speaker sounds more alive, and more audible at highway speeds.

Which one do you recommend that would fit?

What's your budget and what features do you want? I'm getting the Brainiac, but it may not be for everyone.

I really don't have one. I'm really liking the brainiac.

My Sony XSPN1BT (basic CD/bluetooth HU with a phone cradle) has good sound quality, I get way less door speaker rattle when the bass hits. There are a few things about it that I don't like that I have to live with, and a few things I had to rig to get it right, but overall pretty cool HU.

You'll need external amplification and processing (probably) with Brainiac. IT does offer a lot of options and flexibility, but if you're looking for an all-in-one package, it may not meet your expectations. Also, it doesn't come with a CD player. However, I plan to buy an external and stick it in my glove box. More than likely, though, I'll just use all digital music/video.

The NEX 4100 are good. If you have an android or iphone, you can just hook it to your phone for navi.
