What will 93 get me. It's in most stations here

I don't use 93 simply because availability is hit and miss where I am. 91 is way more available, so I have a 91 tune loaded on my car

Insurance on hot days when running hard, maybe a very small power increase, certainly not enough to feel.
I've used nothing but 93 octane since I bought mine 3 years ago, hasn't had any issues being driven very hard in 100F weather. I'd say its worth the few extra cents, especially on track days. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk

93 Isn't available where I live. Also -- I never noticed octane was a percentage.

Dude seriously? You asked the same question in another post and people answered myself included, the manual calls for it when available, only if it is absolutely not available do you use 91 (bearing of course if you have a 91 tune) also you've been using 87 for quite some time correct? :

93 octane will get you a car that functions as designed from the factory. Running 91 octane on the stock map is not going to hurt anything but most people will notice a power decrease. Running less than 91 octane will greatly increase the chances of your engine experiencing knock. While not immediately fatal to the engine, it will harm it over time.
No offense meant but you've got to pay to play. The FA20 engine is a high compression motor that cannot run on low octane fuel without experiencing predetonation. It's a physical reality. If you must run 91 octane, remapping your engine using OFT, EcuTek or similar will help compensate for the timing changes made by the stock map to compensate for the 2 octane difference. At a minimum, please read the owner's manual or at least the sticker on the inside of the fuel door. |

Well, it's not!
Bottom line as other posters have mentioned: read the owner's manual. Use 93 octane if you have it available, us poor Californians without 93 can use 91 without harm to the engine. |

First off why do you continue to copy and paste my post FRSBRZ? It's weird and you should certainly have something better to do besides follow my post around.
Secondly Ive not even had the car quiet sometime. I've had it almost two months. I'll just drive the gas out and I'll put high octane in, no big deal To the others, really if you have nothing of importance to add to my post, please don't reply. I tend to just throw in the highest available where ever I happen to be when I need gas. Since I burn through two tanks a weeks the locations can be pretty random and once can be 91 and the next 93 or even 94. Possibly because my ECU never gets a chance to level out on one level of fuel I never notice any difference between one tank and another regardless what level I pump into it. That is the beauty of a ECU that learns since it will adjust to whatever the situation is, give you the best for what you have and reduce the risk of issues.
