New Springs
I am looking into some springs for my car. I was gonna go with coil overs but springs seem to be the cost effective way to go right now. I am looking at the Hotchkis Sport Suspension Sport Springs. Seems they are good quality at a great price.
What I need help with/concerns is what do I need to purchase with these? Is there a damper or something that needs to be purchased along with the springs? Also, can anyone tell me a good place to get everything I will need for this at a good deal. Thanks |

You can run them on stock dampers. Make sure to cut the bump stops when you install them, and get some camber bolts for the alignment that you'll need. With the 1" drop, you'll have around 2 degrees of camber in the rear, and you can balance that out a little bit by adding more camber up front via the camber bolts. With one set of bolts, you can get around 1.3 degrees in the front.
The rear camber on these cars is only correctable with aftermarket lower control arms, or camber bushings (which are a pain in the ass to install, and therefore not usually recommended if you're going to DIY). None of this matters much if you're not tracking or autocrossing, except for that bit about cutting the bump stops. |
