I just got in my v3 spoiler an was wondering if the double sided tape would hold it on good enough for higher speeds

I don't know much about body work, but I would not "tape" something to my car... EVER. It just seems like a bad idea to me. Does it come with bolts and a template to drill your trunk?

Yeah thats what it looks like to me, but I am not a body guy. I say install it right the first time that way you can avoid the worst case wing flying off at 100 mph and hitting the car behind you ako-taco scenario haha!

I would think the tape is to help keep it on (during install) and to keep it flush. My spoiler can with a tape as well as bolts

As much as I hate people touching my car I took it to a body shop up the street that I've taken all of my cars to at some point. They know me well. I had them paint and install it. They used some sort of epoxy to adhere it to the trunk lid then put in the screws that came with it. Overall looks great and I know it's not going to come off my car!

If you do end up taping it, install it above 60 degrees F. Clean the surface really well. And remember to apply adhesive promoter prior.

^^^^This. If you prep it properly, it will hold forever. I used 3M double sided tape to attach some window louvers on my Mustang, and they were absolutely solid.
