E-85 consumption

I will soon be supercharged and e-85. I will have to carry e-85 to the track with me. Anyone have any idea how many Gallons of e-85 I'll go through in a 20 minute session?

It's completely dependent on you, and the track.

Take your fuel consumption, and divide by 0.7, and you'll have a ballpark figure of how much ethanol you'll need.

Based on what I use na I would expect about half a tank for a 25-30 minute session.

My JR kit is being installed at this moment. With the fuel pump and injector upgrades I imagine it's going to suck down the corn juice pretty quickly. However the only track time I have scheduled is with our Chump car.

I'm getting the Eldebrock Kit, injectors, fuel pump, and E-85 flex fuel all installed the end of the month. But E-85 is not available at my track so I will have to bring it with me.

I run about e77ish with a c38 kw kit on the track. in about 20 minutes i'm down a whole entire quarter tank. :'( so much ethanol. lol. It probably also depends on how rich your tune is running too.

30 should be plenty. I'd be surprised if you went through more than 5 gallons per 20 minute session (it would be an indicator that you're getting pretty quick).

Remember, with the FF, you can drive to the track on 91, and fill up with E85 at the track.

If you do this, try to gauge your fuel so that your fuel light is on when you're pulling in.

Worst case, you can fill up on the side of the road since you have fuel with you. It's not ideal, but I've had it happen to me before.

Talk to your track.

My local track doesn't keep E85 on hand, but they will order a barrel of race grade E85 and keep it in one of the garages for you.

EDIT: I think when I asked last year, it was $325 for a 55-gal barrel of E85. My original guess was an NA Twin, would end up burning around 40 gal over 10 20 minute sessions at my local track.
