Oil Pressure
What should our oil pressure be? I have a 13 fr-s. I'm reading from a sandwich plate on the oil filter housing. At idle it drops down to around 15PSI. Is it lower at this location compared to where it's actually running through the engine?

So, if your engine is running at about 15 psi and the idle is about 1,000 to 1,500 rpms ....... you're good to go. humfrz |

Hmmm. Ok. Once it completely warmed up it dropped to about 8PSI at idle, but the idle is at about 6-700. So I guess it is alright. Thanks.

Any data from a point other than the front of the block is useless, this is where the manufacturer specifies pressure targets in the manual.
Targets at this point are as follows At an oil temp of 80*c greater than 7.3psi during idle greater than 73psi at 6000rpm

I see. From reading some other posts, it looks like you can remove the OEM pressure sensor and replace it with the new gauge sensor without it throwing any CEL codes? Is this true?
