Found out the Subaru expert shop that did my JDM shifter install forgot to re-attach the wires to the 12 v plug in the well behind the shifter. Luckily I was able to just pull up the ebrake boot and reach in and fix.

Today I finished polishing and installed my custom '17 Red Intake Manifold Cover prototype! It is (for) now complete!

I'm pretty happy with the results... looks so good polished! Adds another layer of detail to my engine bay.

The fit & finish of the cover appear to be factory/OEM quality. Nice job!

Looks fantastic! Did you have to fabricate a mount for it?

btw, how did you get your throttle body so shiny?

Thanks for the comp! The rear mounts are built into my design... the front of the cover shares the same mounting point as the MAP sensor.

I buffed out the throttle body as it lay...I didn't bother to remove it. I just taped off around it and used towels elsewhere to protect against the sling. Used small buffing wheels on a high speed drill and a Dremel with buffing wheels for the tight areas. Used rouge and Blue Magic to cut and buff... I didn't use sandpaper...I just kept at it until the texture wore down.

I got jipped... It's like they shot it with primer then closed the hood and never looked at it again. I'd have to strip it if I wanted it to look anything like yours. RIP
