Hehe, my first mod will to be to lower it slightly with springs. Then Visconte tune. Then maybe better tires (more likely Michelin Pilot Super Sports) and lighter wheels. I'm just too damn picky when it comes to wheels. Many wheels I like, but many are also heavy to my standards. And there are many that are light, but I don't like them. At least it's easier than picking wheels for a Miata. The stock 17" Miata wheels are 17lbs each vs the heavy 20lb FR-S wheels. I would say RPF1, but I don't like them without the proper offset and width. Blah.... decisions decisions.... haha

Hey hey to all of y'all, my name is Ali.
I've been lurking on these forums for quite a while now. I haven't had the chance to see one of these beauties up close just yet. I saw one on the road back home in New Orleans, and I've seen a handful on the roads in Los Angeles (I'm here for the summer taking classes). Anyone know of any dealerships in LA that have some in stock? Just so I can see in person, up close and personal. I'm saving up, hopefully I'll be able to afford one of these magical machines by next summer. Thanks |

Bonjour

Hello all This is my first post. I just traded in my 2010 vw golf 2dr mt for a scion frs. I have always adored the ae86 but could never find one. Then I got into VW's And I thought my dream car was a golf. A week ago I saw a BRZ driving around, I knew the GT86 was in the making but I didn't know it was out. So I called up subaru and they said they had none available and to try a toyota/scion dealer. I went to the dealership[ took a test drive and put a down payment on a whiteout FR-S 6MT, The only MT they had and could get for the next 6 months. Sure I lost out on a lot of money trading in my golf, but it is totally worth it. I have owned the FR-S for 4 days now, I have about 500 miles on it and cannot wait to wind it out. I believe that buying the FR-S is the smartest thing I have ever don in my entire life.

Hi All...
Well, I FINALLY got my 86 high spec. Granted, it required that I drove 416km (260 miles) to get it. Not to mention that cars here are a little more expensive than those in some other countries. (on road cost work out to approx 40,400 US dollars) Nevertheless. I HAVE MY CAR and I'm absolutely thrilled. Took a corner rather fast on my way home and I was pleasantly surprised how easily it slides out before traction control decides to kick-in. (Yes, only a few hours old, I'm definitely leaving the TCS on for a while!) Anyway, just came to say Hi and wish you all here Happy Motoring!! Cheers Brian |
