This is why. It's setting it to max a/c which turns on recirc to cool the air quicker.

Update to my situation (kind of):
- Shop forman has been in contact with Subaru Techline. Still trying to work out solutions.
- I let them know about the wiring harness situation. They're going to discuss it with the tech line.

So, for reference, Subaru has has my car for 4 days -- 0 answers.

For those who don't want to dig back (or are interested):
- Seatbelt squeaks
- Rapid pulsing turn signals
- Homelink buttons non-functional
- Driver window sometimes wont close

Turn the temp knob up one click and see what happens, I'm curious.

ok will try. yah it's really annoying - you get in the car and start driving and think 'man it's hot in here'. look down, recirc is on and car is hot from being inside the garage, get outside and it's nice and cool in the 60s but the car is in the 70s even though the temp says Lo.

You can't use the steering wheel control to skip songs in an Android Auto app (Spotify). The system sends the song details to the info screen to the left of the speedo, but the wheel doesn't seem to communicate with the app. Seems like a software update could take fix this.

At one point yesterday, I had to reboot my phone because Android Auto was providing navigation instructions but Spotify was not being piped into the stereo. I could hear the navigation, but the stereo was still playing SiriusXM.

- Seatbelt squeaks

- Driver window sometimes wont close
So, I got some "answers." That said its not good ones.

- Homelink: They follow Subaru's recommendations of ordering the Homelink mirror and swapping out. Nothing regarding the harnesses. So it'll be swapping over and over it seems. I'll verify when I get the car back.

- Turn signal sitaution: They "could not replicate" the blinking. Which is complete BS as it happens on every - single - drive. So it'll be a few corporate calls I guess.

- Driver window: "Could not replicate" - not surprised here, it only happened in specific cold temps. I'm going to assume ice related for water that seems past the window gasket thing.

- Seatbelt squeaks: they have to order a whole new seatbelt assembly; backordered part.

So they've had the car for ~ 6 days, and basically accomplished nothing. Hopefully you all get better support than I have.

This is actually a bug. Try restarting Spotify when this happens.

I can skip songs with the steering wheel just fine. Sometimes, after a phone call, this bug occurs and I have to restart Spotify.

Thanks. How do you restart Spotify without rebooting the phone? I'm pretty sure I tried backing out of the app.

The range on the remote touch locking for the door handles seems way too short. If I have my key in my left pocket and reach back with my right arm, it doesn't always lock for me. I have to swing back around so the pocket holding the key is a foot or two from the sensor.

Same here. Also seems less responsive when its cold. I've just taken to locking the car with the fob - that's long been my habit anyways.
