Who doesn’t want their Prius tires?
The stock tires are low rolling resistance Michelin Primacy HP. Several people at the f86 event said they would pull them off in the first few weeks to a month. So who is going to ditch them first thing? |

Going to keep them until I get new wheels... Might just keep them as a set/winter tires.

people are pretty ignorant to tires though. prius tires isnt a fair term. it amazes me that people a)want to buy this car, b)change tires to be faster at the cost of fun, and c) continue to talk about the blisteringly fast mustang like is sucks despite its same cost, more grip, and abundance of power.

I average around 9400 miles per set of tires on my current car and that's a torqueless front driver. The stock tires will probably not last long anyway. Plus I'd rather start lower limits so I can learn the car.
Also, these "prius tires" actually have pretty admirable survey results on tirerack. They should be a good starting point for lots of people. |

I'll switch eventually, mostly for the things they seem bad at (braking and trailbraking) per reviews.

I will use them for DD and Wet AutoX in Stock Class. Once they are toast I will most likely get a set of these: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....eMake=Michelin

Since I intend to autocross the car and I don't want to bother with a dedicated set of wheels just for that, I'll be changing the stock tires very early for something much stickier. It helps that I don't put on very many miles, so a set of, say Kumho XS's will last me for several years.
The original tires get stored in a cool dark basement, away from sources of ozone (e.g. furnance electric motor), and re-installed when it comes time to trade in the car for the next new improved more powerful etc FR-S / BRZ. Yes, I'm already looking ahead to my next Toyobaru! |

I'll be making a swap, but yeah... I paid for them so they will get used!

I may go with stickier tires when the stockers wear out.

Don't real drifters use sticky tires though?
