Cleaning Engine

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had experience cleaning the engine bay. Mine is filthy and looks like it hasn't been clean since it came off the line. And if so what did you use. Thanks in advance.

Do not use general purpose degreasers as they attack aluminum, paint, plastics, and rubber. Use a real engine degreaser if it's needed.

Also, there's a full section of the forums devoted to cleaning

I have used it for years and years. Have never had a single issue with it on any automotive surface. Make sure you rinse well is all.

I would use a diluted automotive based apc for the job.

I wouldn't use it. The concentration required to remove oil/grease is strong enough to etch aluminum. I've had to repolish aluminum parts because of it.

Real engine degreasers won't do that.
