Totally understand. It's a ~10 minute job but still annoying. Now that I'm back to mostly working from the office I'll probably swap back to stock, haha

Only 10 mins? Hmm, not as bad as I thought. I'll still stick with the drop-in panel in the stock box I think though... easier, particularly in winter.

The AWE Touring cat-back I just installed was a far more fun way to burn money anyways.

Yeah, like 6 bolts across the top of the bumper and then a bunch of clips and two wiring harnesses as you pull it off. Pretty easy!

I only did the intake because I got a good deal on it used from a friend and was hoping the SCCA ST classing for next year would have been better and I'd need every little bit of power... but it isn't so I'm just modding the car as I want so the stock intake with a drop-in is a good solution

Lifted for Winter

I live in a very rural area that sees a lot of drifting snow over the winter. So, over the last few days, I installed an ADF 1.5” lift kit, OEM mud flaps, and a set of 16x7+35 Sparco Terras with 205/65R16 Michelin X-Ice Snow tires. I did a quick test drive with the lift kit and the stock wheels and tires (18” MPS4) and I really liked it. A bit more pitch and roll than stock but the turn-in felt better and there seemed to bit a little bit more steering feel. ADF claims the kit corrects for camber and adds about 0.5deg caster, but I was surprised that it felt noticeably better.

There’s a bit of rubbing on the front mud flaps near full lock with the X-Ice Snows. Tweaking the mounting brackets helped, but I need to bend them back a bit more.

Not sure if I’ll leave the lift on when I switch the wheels and tires again in the spring…

Actually yesterday, I celebrated owning my BRZ for 2 years.

Currently have 13,300 miles and am absolutely enjoying my car.

That’s weak and disingenuous to such a fine automobile. Put some miles on it

I have two other cars, so I split time between all three.

That’s disgusting. I have over 10k on my 23 in one year of ownership splitting with my other vehicle. Guess I’m an advocate in if you own a vehicle you drive it or cash it in and keep it in the bank. No sense in acquiring garage paperweights not to mention the depreciation/insurance/taxes to have it sit there to justify even having it.

I've got just over 6k in 2 years, and it gets driven at least 5 days/wk. You guys drive alot.

Good news is today I just got some apex 17x8.5 for next track season. Took advantage of the Black Friday sale. First time trying forged wheels. Hopefully they'll get some good use next year.

You win the most disgusting award ha ha! I drive 12-15000 miles a year just driving to work.

What offset did you go with on your new wheels?

Added some pipe to make the stock exhaust tips be flush like the JDM car. Also installed a Billetworkz short shifter and black center buttons from BRZ tS.

I daily mine year-round and autocross it and at 22 months am only at 15,600-ish.

Not sure how I'd put miles on it any faster. Any driving destinations worth the effort are at least a day away, if not farther, which makes for more planning, money, and having to work around family obligations and vacation time. That puts a dent in road trip miles.
