Are there any stand alone ECUs that can control the DI?

Haven't looked into what platforms the Motec M150 ECU but I know that you can do DI's on them for the FT-86. Check it out:

Inetersting when you go to the FRS/BRZ vs 2015 Mustang thread and you read all the complaints about Mustang being a "fat pig at 3,800 lbs" but come into a RC-F thread and hardly a peep about it being 4,000 lbs.

The FT86 twins was all about weak pathetic power and low weight, while the lexus is all about brute force V8 power, technology and became a fat pig in the process. They're polar opposites.

The weight has been a major sticking point among all sorts of reviews and within enthusiast circles.

because the second you try to tell someone that another car is better than theirs they get all defensive. Here were just having a nice conversation

Interestingly enough, you can pick up a clk63 amg black series for around 50k with low miles and that's a great deal seeing as how it was 150k new iirc.

I find that RC-F fat as sexy as a girl with big booty. Extra weight where needed

Interesting you say nobody complains about the weight when that is the total opposite on ClubLexus. Mustang fan trying to start fanboy war on FT86Club?

To answer to you provocation, interesting that the more comfortable, luxurious RC F was only 3/10 sec slower than the much lighter and power underrated M4? Oh, and how so the heavy Mustang doesn't have ventilated seats as RC F?

Your powers of observation have failed you. Look at what I drive; not one but two Scions so I think I hardly fit the "Mustang fanboi" crowd bro. I just made an observation that many on this forum complain about the Mustang/domestic cars as being "fat bloated pigs that drive like boats" while a thread on a RC-F gets nothing but praise despite being over 4,000 pounds! I like Lexus, but it's a shame that "performance oriented coupe" is coming in at over 2 tons. In their defense, this is a sickness infecting all the car companies these days. That's why I bought an FR-S.

Full disclosure: I used to own a Shelby GT500, but that has been 1 of 3 domestics I have ever owned. I've owned about 10 imports. I'm a car enthusiast, not a brand/badge worshipper. About the closest brand I'd say I belong to is Honda, have owned 4 including an AP2 S2000. Sadly, Honda has been out of the sporty car segment for some time.

The new Mustang does have heated and ventilated seats, but they're not available if you order Recaro seats (which are manual and unheated).

tl;dr. 3950lb curb weight and mid 400hp figures... how is this better as a performance car than a 2015 Mustang 5.0L?
