No it doesn't, lol. No tune.

Can you share a link? I'm assuming this is for a '22 Twin?

Yes, a '22 twin. trippinbillies40 drove it with Bryan Heitkotter. and of course it would be an overdog for STX, which is why we keep saying it's going to STR...

He drove on Sunday too, not sure who the second driver was but the owner topped STX by half a second and weren't far off from STR/STU on a course that really rewarded a car that can accelerate and maintain momentum, a bit like this years nats courses.

https://www.sfrautox.com/wp-content/..._17_class.html

Sunday might be the better metric, I hear STU/STR off their game on Saturday but I wasn't there. Saturday was full of cars that could easily trophy at nats in their respective classes as they sit, top 10 pax finish in SFR is something to be happy about imho.

If/when the 2nd gen goes into STX then STX becomes a spec class imho which is a shame, not many deep classes you can prep for <$20k and not need a truck/trailer.

Agreed entirely on all of your points, and from what I hear Sunday was a better comparison too.

I was referring to overdog in general. Bryan's PAX on an untuned car was quite high and David's was up there too.

David is fast too. But the car had no tune, no seats, no lightweight battery, no exhaust, no headers, suspension with no alignment, no drop-in filter (AFAIK), and no diff. So yes, results so far look like a very strong car and possible overdog in current ST classes.

Also, shout out to Taylour Wargo - I'm pretty sure they ran with a full tank of wiper fluid.

Clearly you have not driven an STR car, lol

oh, and the car *was* aligned. and if you think all of those things are a must for ST... you're doing it wrong.

Car was aligned. I finished 3rd in STX in 2015 with stock seats, stock battery, stock diff, just a nameless muffler delete...

I was also going to say this, all those mods are perceived to be must have's but they're not all together making the car a whole second or more faster or anything, its measurable, but only at the pointy end where every little thing matters.

Also, take a walk around the STX nationals grid this year and you'll have found that 90% of the current STX cars don't have aftermarket seats and most of the ones that do only have 1 aftermarket seat not two (seats are expensive)

Outside of the tuning which is an unknown, coilovers and ST* spec wheels and tires get the new car a majority of what we need for data.
Also, STR ND's are extremely light and smaller than an 86, I think the new car would make for some good variety in STR and still might not beat the ND's which have already shown they are faster than STU cars too

SFR has many cars at "the pointy end" as you put it Kelse92. PAX'ing that high at Crow's with an STX-lite setup is an extremely strong showing. The key thing will be how much extra power can be drawn out of them during tuning. With a pro tune and the "Lugod" setup and it might be an overdog. So at this moment I disagree with those of you that are scoffing at the mere suggestion of such.

Didn't realize you finished the alignment. How much camber did you end up with? I thought I had read somewhere you said you didn't know what the camber was yet so I took that to mean it wasn't aligned.
