The only other way to deal with the space issues are those bloody stupid only go half way down rear windows some makes use. Why bother when it will only open 3 inches?

There's already quite a small gap between the new model's ~220hp and the 2.0L Supra's ~250hp. They may want to keep the gap clear. |

I have this terrible 1st year FRS issue called power oversteer on command with only 200HP. I'll never buy a 1st year car again.

There are a ton of turbo and supercharged twins. Anybody waiting for Toyota and Subaru to do the job for them are nincompoops. Do it yourself.

Is there a turbo kit that is close to OEM quality though? The Works kit is the only one that comes to mind, but IIRC the power bump isn’t much. As far as superchargers only the Harrop kit really works well. Any Rotrex unit needs stupid friction fluid and the Edelbrock unit has MAF reading issues. |

Anyone not buying to avoid early issues like 1st gen FRS?

Sorry, but a Greddy knockoff isn’t even close to what I’d call OEM-like. The exhaust manifold design alone turns me off, a rigid manifold cantilevered out in front, it’s like asking for it to crack. The bumper beam modification is a hard no for me too, Crash structure is extremely sensitive to changes which will affect how it crumples. I want it to crumple exactly as Subaru designed it to, no more, no less, and the same shape. Personally I want to keep the primary cat as a minimum as well. The only 2 FI kits that satisfy me from a design aspect are Harrop and Works. Every other kit has too many compromises or weird workarounds like a custom front sway bar, cut crash structure or 2 miles of cold piping. The works kit loses the OEM strut tower braces which I don’t like at all but at least you can fit a tower-to-tower bar. The Coyoda turbo kit designed by Turboyoda looked good too but I don’t think they ever got it in production. |
