Corsa closed box air intake

I’m new to the car modding scene and I had a question about the Corsa closed box air intake. If any one here owns it can you tell me about if you ran into any problems after installing it? Are there any cons? I order the Corsa performance exhaust for the car a couple of days ago and I just fell like doing more to the car already lol but at the same time I don’t want something that’ll effect the engine in a negative way. And also would I have to get a tune to actually get the full effect of the intake? It’s a 2020 gt 86 idk if that will help

Thank you all

Wasted money.
The factory box is about as efficient as you can get.
Cancel the order and get a high flow stock size air filter instead.

Even with the Corsa catback? I heard it goes well with the catback. Also what about cold air intakes? Are they bad for the engine on the long run?

Your hard earned Canadian dollar would be much better spent elsewhere.
I second a Drop in filter (K&N or other) and call it a day unless Noise is your priority.

Marketing BS.

The stock one is as said already a CAI.
And as I said is already as good as it gets for the most part.

CAI aren't bad, they are just useless for the most part.
Same goes for the catback exhaust if you are interested in anything but sound.

The best bang for your buck in terms of power is...
Keep stock intake and replace filter with a better flowing one.
OFT or ECUTek Tune. (80-90% of the cars NA power can be unlocked with just a reflash. Ignoring using E85)
Headers.

In that order.
New filter will help the car breath easier but you wont notice much.
The tune will wake the car up.
Headers with a tune will wake it up a little more.
A catback on top of that will add a tiny bit more.

Thank you for the feed back. Yea I think I’ll just go with replacing the filter and a tune. Much appreciated

Last but not least, both drop-in airfilter and ecu tune are easily reversible, car will have no problems passing emission tests, and will have higher resale value due closer to stock/less modded/bastardized state.
