Is there an Auto Trans only dyno thread?

We dynoed an auto setup today and I was wondering what kind of power others are putting down with their autos.

Please share dyno graphs and mod list!

Is there an Auto Trans only dyno thread?

My friend got his automatic BRZ dyno'd last week at MPT Performance...

Bone-stock: 164 hp / 142 lbf·ft (Dynocom 15,000 Series w/ Load)

The car was dropped off at Rev Works this morning and got an Innovate S/C, Rev Works UEL, Motiv Front/Over Pipes, and an Invidia Q300 installed. He gets it street-tuned tomorrow morning. I'll post dyno results once we get it back on the dyno.

By the way please post the type of dyno. The MPT dyno is a Dynocom 1500 I believe.

Yeah, I couldn't remember the name. I'll edit my post.

Would love to get to 200 at the wheel, wonder if anyone has gotten close yet. We seem to take a huge loss at the wheels compared to the MT cars.

That really depends on the dyno, when the twins were released i dynoed back to back after the break in against a manual and we got identical numbers

Interesting, thought we lost 15hp over the MT's. All in all, if I stay NA 200 will be the bar on 94 (or higher), don't have access to E85 but 100 is only a few miles away :-)

So far I've seen 3 N/A M/T cars reach 200whp and all 3 were on Dyno Dynamics in "happy customer" mode. The only practical hope of hitting 200whp with an A/T is e85. Impractically it should also be possible with head work and cams plus the usual IHE stuff. Might as well go FI for that kind of money.

I can't believe that our slush box has the same parasitic hp loss as the M/T. It's simply not possible. If it only lost 10hp more it would be incredibly efficient for a slush box.

power up top suffered up top because the AT ecu pulls back where the MT ecu doesnt. you can see it in the AFR's my AT ran richer than alex's BRZ during the entire run

basically power is the same up to 6k rpms, if there was more drivetrain loss in the AT it would be seen across the entire powerband

Thank you for that, quite interesting. If there is less loss than previously thought getting closer to 200 with a proper tune may be possible after all.

Doubtful with an automatic unless you go e85. It's hard to hit 200 with the best bolt ons with a manual on 93 octane. The differences in dynos is what makes this task very difficult.

a guarantee the dyno's of 200whp are on dynos that read high ive had my car read 163whp on another dyno bone stock. where on cobb's dyno i read 144

harshest dyno i went and got a baseline at was at AWD tuning where i got a staggering 138whp lol

highest WHP #'s aren't important, if you want to properly tune your car. run on the same dyno and try to get the best improvements on that same dyno

ive seen cars dynoed at 400whp beat other cars who dynod elsewhere at 500whp. a dyno wont tell you how fast you are or could be.
