Enkei RPF1 17x8 Gold + Dunlop Star Specs 255/40/17 on SWP Premium
I got my 17x8 RPF1s with 255/40 Star Specs in today. Threw them on immediately and snapped some pictures. I went out for a little drive to settle the suspension to take more pictures, but I ended up driving until after the sun set, so settled pictures will have to wait. I went to a parking lot and did tight circles at full lock. No rubbing whatsoever. I'll give it a more spirited test later this weekend.
Hope you enjoy the pictures. Edit: after the suspension settled, but the angle isn't great. Last edited by Mitch; 07-08-2012 at 01:25 AM. |

Offset listings would be a huge help, so would some pictures of the actual fitment/offset.

The steering feels a wee bit heavier (not as heavy as my M3). I thought the steering felt direct before, but it picked up some clarity and immediacy with these tires. It'll be another few weeks before I hit the track with them unless I throw them on for the fun runs at the autocross I'm going to on Sunday. Last edited by Mitch; 07-06-2012 at 01:55 AM. |

Cool to see these in gold. Here are three other topics that are about the same wheels, but other colors.

That is a good idea... ugh, that means I have to go through every single thread again. We'll see if I can find the time.

Looking Good! Went the same way as well except for 245's and I thought 255's might rub under super hard turning. Went with V12's though as they were much cheaper.

I love this wheel on the S2K, but it doesn't really work with neither of the Toyobaru. Just my opinion.

I plan on getting some RPF1s as well-- but to me, you don't get them to look good, you get them because they weigh as much as a trapper-keeper.

Indeed. I think these look really good for the car not being lowered. When I swapped these (in 15") on my MCS I saved 20 lbs per corner over the OEM 17"s. I'm really curious as to the weight savings when going to an RPF1.

Not only is the car not lowered, it's actually raised a little bit because the suspension hadn't settled after putting it in the air. I'll take pictures this evening (if it doesn't rain) that show what it settled to. Looks a lot better. Overall I think I gained ~1.5-2lbs per corner, which isn't bad when you consider I went from 215 to 255 width tires.
