Hi guys,

So, I'm trying to improve my Stg2 UEL E85 tune following Wayno's amazing guide.

I did some 3rd gear pulls (1st pull & 2nd pull & 3rd pull) on my way to work and have a few questions about them:
- General for all pulls -> runs quite lean from 3400 to 3900 rpm, but I figured that is due to Engine Load Limit set to 1.00 at 3800 rpm, so I'll try to set it to 1.20.
- All pulls were done around 5-10 minutes apart, so I don't get why the first pull runs a bit rich above 4000 rpm with AFR down to 11.7-11.8 and LTFT 3.91, where as pull 2 runs a bit lean with AFR mostly 0.2-0.4 above commanded AFR and LTFT -2.34, and pull 3 looks quite good above 4400 rpm with AFR mostly within 0.2-0.3 of commanded AFR but LTFT still -2.34.
However above 7000 rpm the LTFT quickly rises in a few steps until reaching 3.91 at 7500 rpm, which then brought AFR down to 11.83 (commanded AFR 12.47). Why does it become so rich at the end?

I guess I should do some new logging after raising the load limit to 1.20 to have some reliable new data before doing anything to my tune..?

Thanks in advance for your help

the car felt rougher on waynos maf scale so I went back to the canned tune. Maybe I'm jus imagining things?

Here is light cruising and a 1-3 WOT pull..

Has some maf scaling corrections for the greddy intake, nothing else aside from that. I swapped back to 93 as its getting colder around here.

Actually surprised to see teh AFR ~12 under WOT conditions. With the e85 tune and even with the 93 tune before it it ran much richer. I'm sure the colder air/maf scaling has something to do with it.

At highest you would keep 1.2 @ 2600 and use 1.1 @ 3800.

Port injection is enabled above 7000, that's why LTFT changes. Set shift light to 7000 and don't worry about it.

You don't need maf scale but it won't hurt, you need load limits though. Most like 1.2 @ 2600 & 1.0 @ 3800. Might have to use down to 1.1 @ 2600 though. It's all already in the guide.

Smoothed

Smoothed looks better.

Because 1.2 is too high for the engine at 3800 rpm, or because you think it'll run too rich then?

Might be a stupid question, but even though port injections kicks in at 7000 rpm, shouldn't the ecu still correct the direct injection to try to aim for the commanded AFR?

I have been collecting some third gear pull logs and have noticed a trend that my throttle position slowly declines as RPM increases. At first I thought it just may have been me but I logged another pull tonight with my foot firmly to the floor and got the same result. Any ideas?

Anyone mind providing feedback for my data log? I tried to get a few WOT runs, but the best I could do were a few 2nd gear runs and a couple partial ones in 3rd gear.

I'm quite the beginner here and have been reading this forum the past couple weeks trying to learn as much as possible.

My current setup:

OFH
OFT + v2.068 Stage 2 UEL E85 Tune - Only modification is to reduce startup noise
3rd tank of E85
According to my E85 tester, ~90% ethanol content
~200 miles since last flash

Just a few questions:

1. Tune looks healthy and reliable?
2. I noticed my LTFTs are a bit high, especially at idle I believe due to the high ethanol content of my local E85. Any cause for concern?
3. Installing the OFH was pretty easy except for tightening one bolts, any indication of an exhaust leak looking at the fuel trims?

If anyone has any feedback, I'd appreciate it! This forum has been very helpful and just wanted to thank everyone who contributes.

Yes look pretty good

AFR and commanded AFR fairly close in open loop
no knock
positive fuel trims to be expected on 90% ethanol if e% was lower like E80 then positive trims will reduce as ecu compensates for lower E%

Fuel trims at idle and low rpm will vary especially with high intake air temps as ecu compensates this is normal.

If you concerned you could either do maf scaling. but its not rearly necessary unless you noticing any bogging or hesitation at low rpm.
