A couple months ago I was on route 80 (2 lanes). I'm in the left passing slower traffic, and there's a break in the right lane about a half mile behind a tractor trailer. I decide I'm gonna stay in the left since I will pass the truck in about a minute or so.... I get within a 1/4 mile and see a tire shaking a little bit. Thought it was just dirt at first, just being an optical illusion. Regardless, I slow down and seconds later, I hear a loud BANG!.... Tire pieces fly right to where I would have been had I not slowed down. The truck driver noticed after about 10 seconds and pulled over. Crisis averted and no one near me got hit.

Style - Man that really sucks! I am sorry to hear that there is a blown-tire epademic out there!

Digital Assassin - Glad you were able to dodge the one you almost hit!

Thanks again for the support. I hope that everyone has a weekend free of any kind of car or tire problems!

2012 4x4 Sequoia. This is the rental I got after dropping my FR-S off at the shop. It seats 8. I don't have a reason to own one, but it is nice for just a few days.

Guy at counter: "Sir we have a Dodge Caliber, its a really nice little 5 door hatch."
Me: "What else do you have?"

Got a check for the damages. I think that the estimate is a little low. but we will see. Geico estimates 9 days. I estimate 15 days. I hope its not longer.

Good luck getting a bumper bud. The body shop thought they had mine all ready to go until they tried to put the FR-S grille into the BRZ bumper they just painted.

The front bumpers are on back order.
