Hey guys, I'm new here. I recently bought a 2013 BRZ back in May. I love it and it's great but I was wondering if its possible/safe to install a backup camera.

Which backup cameras are good?

How do I install it?

Will it damage the car?

Those are some questions I have about backup cameras, thank you guys.

Yes its dangerous, you could potentially total your car. be careful

Because you are a newbie here and it's getting close to Christmas I'm going to give you a little help.
Do a Search this Forum for backup camera (the black pull down tab on the top right side) in the DIY forum and the Electronics | Audio | NAV | Infotainment forum. After you read all the threads it finds post back with any questions you have.

Thanks guys for helping out. I really like the camera from camera-source. I was also wondering if there are some where you don't have to drill a hole.

There is a more useful step by step guide somewhere on here but didn't bother to look. You will have to drill a small hole in the rear trim piece with the subaru logo on it, but it comes off very easily. It can be done in about 2 hours with little difficulty.

It's no big deal drilling a hole in plastic.

So I got the camera from camera source. It's been good for a couple weeks but today it's got a bunch of lines and the picture is messed up. Any ideas on how I should fix it?

check your wiring and ground. if it's not that, then your camera is bad.
